Job Summary

- The Shop Helper supports daily operations in a machine shop, assisting with material handling, basic assembly, shop organization, and general production tasks.
- This hands-on role is suited to someone who works safely, follows instructions, and is interested in learning more about manufacturing and shop equipment.
- On-the-job guidance is provided. Applicants should be prepared for active work in a shop workplace, including standing, moving materials, and keeping work areas orderly.

Responsibilities

- Assist machinists and other shop team members with day-to-day tasks.
- Move, stage, and organize materials, parts, and supplies in the shop or warehouse.
- Support basic assembly and production work according to instructions.




- Use hand tools and power tools safely for appropriate tasks.
- Help maintain clean, organized work areas and return tools and materials to their designated locations.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and material movement; operate a forklift only if trained and authorized.
- Follow shop safety procedures, wear required protective equipment, and report hazards or damaged tools.
- Perform other general shop duties as assigned.

Pay: From $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
