We are seeking an organized and experienced Transportation HR & Recruiter to support our transportation and distribution operations. This role combines full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on commercial driver hiring, and day-to-day HR responsibilities including onboarding, employee records management, employee relations, performance management support, and offboarding. The ideal candidate will have hands-on HR experience and be comfortable supporting managers and employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment for transportation and driver positions.
Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates through various recruiting channels, including assessing driver qualifications, driving abstracts, background checks, safety records, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate hiring activities, including offers, reference checks, pre-employment screening, onboarding, and orientation.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
Support employee relations, including performance management, attendance issues, disciplinary actions, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
Assist with employee offboarding, including resignation and termination processes, while ensuring compliance with employment standards and company policies.

Qualifications
3-5 years of combined Human Resources and recruitment experience.
Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
Experience maintaining employee records and supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
Previous recruitment experience within transportation, logistics, distribution, warehousing, or similar operational environments.




Experience recruiting commercial drivers, including reviewing driving abstracts, conducting background checks, and verifying qualifications, is considered a strong asset.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and Microsoft Office 365.

This role requires prior hands-on Human Resources experience, including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary action, termination procedures, onboarding, and employee file management. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on recruitment, payroll, or academic HR training may not be suitable for this position.
