Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our Pet Valu team. The ideal candidate loves animals, enjoys helping customers, and thrives in a rapid-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with pet parents
- Assist customers with product selection and pet nutrition recommendations
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Receive, stock, and merchandise products
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment

Qualifications

- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset (training provided)
- Genuine love for animals (especially dogs and cats)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (pet food bags, supplies)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
