About the Role

Skydeck Builders is an Edmonton-based construction company working on residential and multifamily projects. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented employee to manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable, review project costs, and support office and field operations.

Responsibilities

- Maintain accounts payable and receivable records for multiple construction projects.
- Review supplier and subcontractor invoices against approved quotations, contracts, purchase orders and work completed.
- Identify pricing discrepancies, duplicate invoices, unapproved extras and missing documentation before submitting invoices for payment approval.
- Prepare payment schedules, track due dates and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Record expenses accurately by project and cost category.
- Track deposits, progress payments, credits and subcontractor holdbacks.
- Organize invoices, receipts, quotations, contracts and project records.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, site supervisors and our accountant to resolve billing questions.




- Assist with material orders, delivery coordination, scheduling and other construction administration.
- Prepare simple expense summaries and outstanding payment reports for management.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping or a similar role.
- Construction industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; accounting software experience is an asset.
- Able to compare quotations and invoices carefully and follow up on discrepancies.
- Strong organization, communication and time-management skills.
- Able to handle confidential financial information and work independently.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
