We are looking for a Sales Assistant to assist with various sales duties. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a customer service environment, with an strong interest in fabric and sewing, and knowledge of the retail industry. A successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure, communicate effectively with customers, be creative when solving problems, and keep accurate records. Applicants must have experience in a sales setting or significant sewing knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Sell fabric, notions and sewing machines to customers.
- Advise customers on appropriate materials for their projects
- Complete cashier duties including sales orders, online orders and class registrations.
- Take inventory of stock and create orders to replenish inventory.
- Fulfill online orders, including packging orders and creating shipping labels.
