Duties
- Prepare fresh jalebis by mixing ingredients, maintaining proper batter consistency, and ensuring optimal frying techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including fryers and utensils, adhering to sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to produce high-quality jalebis consistently during busy hours
- Handle food with care, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure product quality and customer safety
- Assist with food handling and storage procedures, including proper labeling and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to upsell other menu items and enhance customer satisfaction through friendly service
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation, and safety standards is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing cash transactions using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Customer service experience that demonstrates friendly communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of cashiering, cash handling, and serving in a rapid-paced environment is a plus
- Kitchen experience involving frying or working with sweets will be considered an asset
