Position: Part-Time All Rounder (Server, Expo, Bartender)

Location: Calgary, AB

Type: Part-Time | Permanent | 2 Positions Available

A couple of shifts a week. A whole lot of good people.

We’re hiring two Part-Time All Rounders, each with a schedule that fits around the rest of your life:

- Afternoon Shifts: Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
- Evening Shifts: A couple of evenings a week between Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Whichever fits your week, a great crew, and a little extra in your pocket, without signing up for a full-time schedule.

- Availability: You’re available for one of the schedules above (or both!) and you’re looking for steady part time hours rather than a full-time schedule.

Our All Rounders are the core of the Prairie Dog experience. We host big groups, events, and busy rushes, and our team service model means everyone supports everyone. You’re never out there alone, and that’s what makes the difference.

Why You’ll Love It Here

- Real Earning Potential: Base pay is $16/hour, plus our unique Staff Fund program has paid team members an average of nearly $10/hour on top of their base wages over the last year.
- Room to Pick Up More: Want a few extra hours here and there? There are often opportunities to pick up additional shifts outside your regular schedule, whenever it works for you.
- A Fun, Inclusive Environment: We pride ourselves on a “come as you are” culture: a diverse, supportive team that treats each other like family.
- Beer & Food Perks: Enjoy significant discounts on our award-winning craft beers and our house-made menu.
- Real Skills, Real Experience: Get cross-trained across serving, bartending,

and expo in a team that will genuinely support your growth.

What You’ll Do

- Take Care of Guests: Deliver warm, attentive service to your section without losing the personal touch that makes Prairie Dog feel like home.
- Wear a Few Hats: Move between serving, bartending, and expo depending on what the team needs that day.
- Work the Team Model: Lean on your teammates and be the person they can lean on too. No one succeeds alone, and no one fails alone either.
- Keep Things Moving: Bring the speed and focus to keep service running smoothly during a busy stretch, without cutting corners on quality or connection.
- Set the Tone: Whether you’re greeting a first-timer or pouring a pint for a regular, you’re representing what Prairie Dog is all about: genuine, welcoming, community-first hospitality.

What You Bring to the Table

- Experience: Restaurant or bar experience is an asset, but not required. If you’re friendly, reliable, and quick to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.
- Reliability: With a small, set schedule, showing up on time and ready to go matters a lot to your crew.
- Connection: You never let a busy moment get in the way of making a guest feel welcome.
- Team Mentality: You communicate clearly and never leave a teammate hanging.
- Vibe: A positive attitude and a sense of humour. We like to have fun while we work.
