Reporting to the Superintendent of Human Resources, the HR Advisor will serve as a human resources generalist. He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of various HR processes (staffing, labor relations, etc.) as well as providing HR support to staff. Based at the Windfall site, located in the Northern Quebec region, he or she will be required to work a 14-14 schedule. Transportation, lodging, and meals provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Participate in the staffing process (posting job openings, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, etc.);
- Ensure that the company complies with all labor-related standards (labor standards, pay equity, the Skills Act, etc.);
- Ensure the consistent application of human resources policies and procedures;
- Participate in the performance evaluation process;
- Advise managers on employee management;
- Support management in implementing new HR processes;
- Manage employee files;
- Answer employees’ various questions regarding human resources;
- Serve as a liaison between HR and the payroll department;




- Compile and produce management reports;
- Help organize events and activities;
- Comply at all times with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules, and ensure that staff adhere to these rules;
- Perform any other tasks related to the HR advisor position that are relevant to the project’s success.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field;
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an advisory role;
- Experience in the fields of mining operations or exploration (an asset);
- Experience working with First Nations (an asset);
- Bilingualism in French and English required; will be working with English-speaking employees;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.);
- Knowledge of the mining industry (an asset).
