Overview

Cranex Trucking Inc. is an Abbotsford-based crane and heavy transport company with a growing fleet. We are hiring two experienced Class 1 drivers to haul flatdeck, step deck and heavy haul loads in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Drivers are home daily.

The Work

- Freight: heavy equipment, building materials, steel and oversize/over-dimensional loads
- Routes: local and regional runs throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley; home every night
- Schedule: full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; occasional weekend work as needed
- Equipment: late-model tractors running flatdeck, step deck and lowbed trailers

Responsibilities

- Safely operate tractor-trailers on assigned local routes; complete pickups and deliveries on time
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Secure loads using chains, binders and straps in line with BC load securement standards
- Keep accurate logs and paperwork, including trip records and delivery documents
- Communicate clearly with dispatch about ETAs, delays and customer site requirements
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations and company safety procedures

Requirements

- Valid BC Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement




- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Flatdeck load securement experience (chains, binders, straps)
- Current driver's abstract with no major violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
