Walker Brothers Landscaping Inc. is hiring experienced, dependable snowplow operators to join our winter maintenance team. This role focuses on clearing snow from commercial and residential properties, with an emphasis on safe equipment operation and reliable service.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks to clear parking lots, roadways, and designated areas.
- Operate salt trucks and apply de-icing materials as required.
- Complete assigned routes safely and efficiently.
- Perform equipment inspections before and after each shift, and report maintenance issues.
- Work carefully around parked vehicles, buildings, pedestrians, and other obstacles.
- Be available for on-call shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays.
- Assist with shovelling and snow blower operation when needed.
- Follow all applicable health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous snowplow operating experience.
- A valid driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle and a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to our yard when called in.
- Ability to work in winter weather and changing conditions.
- Ability to work independently, follow assigned routes, and communicate with the team.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Salt truck operating experience is an asset.
