Job Summary
The Senior Residential Estimator is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate cost estimates and budgets for luxury custom home projects. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, designers, and trade partners to ensure each project reflects Sartori Custom Homes’ high standards of quality and precision.

Duties

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Solicit, review, and evaluate trade and supplier pricing to ensure scope coverage and competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain updated project budgets throughout the design and construction phases.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and clients to recommend materials, methods, and cost-effective alternatives.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project budgets and timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Participate in tender evaluations and proposal reviews, ensuring pricing accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain current knowledge of construction costs, market trends,



and industry standards.
- Mentor and support junior estimating staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professional growth.
- Contribute to process improvements and support the ongoing development of estimating tools and databases.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of residential estimating experience, experience in high end custom homes strongly preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven ability to prepare and maintain comprehensive project budgets.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience implementing or managing estimating and project management software.
- Proficiency in JobTread or similar estimating software, as well Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of luxury residential materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace.
- Experience leading and mentoring team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
