Overview

The Class 1 driver transports freight safely and reliably, supporting smooth deliveries and day-to-day operations. This role involves commercial driving, careful handling of loads, and coordination with colleagues to keep freight moving as planned.

Duties

- Operate a commercial vehicle to collect and deliver freight, following assigned routes and schedules.
- Secure loads, check freight for accuracy, and handle loading or unloading tasks safely.
- Complete routine vehicle checks, report defects, and coordinate repairs or servicing when needed.
- Use forklift or other heavy equipment where appropriate, following safe operating procedures.

Skills

Required: Practical commercial driving capability, secure freight handling, attention to detail, and clear communication are important for completing deliveries and reporting vehicle or load concerns. Your impact: Accurate, timely deliveries help colleagues plan work and ensure customers receive freight as expected. Preferred: Forklift and heavy equipment operation skills are useful, as is familiarity with basic automotive repair to support routine checks and communicate maintenance needs.

Pay: Up to $9,000.00 per month
