SSP Canada operates several restaurants throughout Victoria International Airport, including: Spinnakers on the Fly, Fresh Cup, and Tim Hortons.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Attendant:

- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
- Receive payment from the customer and process change.
- Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
- Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
- Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
- Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Other Requirements

- Minimum six months experience working in food service environment
- High school diploma preferred.
- Verbal and written communication
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
- Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
- Food handlers permit as required by law.
- Brand Certification as required.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check.
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.

Summary

As a Food Service Attendant at Tim Hortons, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Your core skills in food service, cashiering, and food safety will enable you to efficiently handle orders and maintain a clean workspace. Reporting to the shift supervisor, you will utilize your basic math skills for cash handling and contribute to a team-oriented environment. With an emphasis on communication and sanitation, you will help uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.
