Overview

Express is looking for an expereinced welder to join their reputable clients night shift team in Calgary North. The Night Shift Welder fabricates and assembles components using welding and metalworking processes, following blueprints and schematics to complete accurate, dependable work during overnight production.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints and schematics; use calipers and basic math to check dimensions and verify finished work.
- Operate a press brake machine and, where applicable, use cranes, forklifts, and rigging to move materials safely.
- Support manufacturing, ductwork, or construction tasks while maintaining an orderly work area and coordinating handoffs across shifts.

Requirements

Required:



Practical welding ability, blueprint reading, attention to measurement, basic math, and confident use of hand and power tools support accurate fabrication and assembly. Mechanical knowledge helps with equipment and production tasks. Preferred: Experience with MIG or TIG welding, plasma cutting, machining, press brake machines, rigging, cranes, forklifts, ductwork, manufacturing, or construction is advantageous.

Pay: From $32.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
