About the Role

We're looking for big personalities, natural entertainers and outgoing individuals to bring our Christmas-themed pop-up bars to life!

This isn't your typical acting role. We're looking for people who love being the centre of attention, can confidently work a room, engage with guests and create a fun, energetic Christmas atmosphere.

You'll step into character as a cheeky Christmas elf or festive personality, helping deliver an unforgettable experience for guests visiting our immersive Christmas bars.

Think part actor, part MC, part party host – with plenty of Christmas mischief thrown in!

What You'll Be Doing

- Bring your character to life: Play a fun, cheeky, larger-than-life Christmas elf or festive character throughout the event.
- Host and entertain: Act as an energetic MC, welcoming guests, making announcements and keeping the atmosphere lively.
- Engage with customers: Mingle with guests, encourage participation, have fun conversations and create memorable moments.
- Lead interactive activities: Host Christmas trivia, games, competitions, singalongs and other festive entertainment.
- Get the party going: Encourage guests to get involved, dance, sing, laugh and enjoy the experience.
- Create photo opportunities: Pose for photos, interact in character and help guests capture fun content.
- Keep the experience flowing: Work with the venue team to ensure guests are entertained throughout their session.
- Adapt to the crowd: Read the room and adjust your energy, humour and performance to suit different audiences.

Who We're Looking For

We're much more interested in personality, confidence and energy than formal acting qualifications.

You'll be a great fit if you:

- Are naturally outgoing, charismatic, energetic and comfortable being the centre of attention.
- Love entertaining people and making strangers laugh.

- Are confident speaking to groups and using a microphone.
- Can improvise, think on your feet and stay in character.
- Have a great sense of humour and don't mind being a little silly.
- Can confidently lead games, trivia and interactive activities.
- Are reliable, punctual and professional.
- Enjoy Christmas and bringing positive energy to an event.

Experience that would be outstanding (but isn't essential):

- MC or event hosting
- Acting, theatre or improv
- Comedy or stand-up
- Party hosting or entertainment
- Hospitality, nightlife or bar promotions
- Theme parks or immersive experiences

If you've ever been told you're the life of the party, we want to hear from you!

Working Hours

- Seasonal work from late November through December.
- Primarily evenings and weekends.
- Thursday to Sunday shifts, depending on location.
- Multiple shifts available throughout the Christmas season.
- Must be comfortable working in a lively bar environment.

What We Offer

- A fun, energetic and unique working environment.
- The opportunity to play a memorable character and entertain guests.
- Full event briefing, character guidance and activity scripts.
- Christmas-themed costumes and event materials provided.
- The chance to work with a growing international events company.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a short introduction explaining why you'd be great at entertaining a crowd.

Bonus points: Include a short 30–60 second video introducing yourself or showing off your personality, hosting skills or best Christmas elf character!

We're not looking for someone to simply wear an elf costume and stand around.

We want entertainers who can own the room, make people laugh and create an amazing Christmas experience!

Pay: $18.25-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 30.0 per week
