Overview

As a Cafe counter attendant, you’ll welcome customers, take orders, prepare and serve food, and keep the counter clean and organized. You’ll use a POS system to process transactions, handle cash accurately, and help create a smooth, friendly service experience.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers, answer questions, take orders, and serve food and beverages courteously.
- Prepare food safely, follow food-handling and sanitation practices, and maintain a clean counter and work area.
- Operate POS equipment, including Micros POS where applicable; process payments and provide accurate change.
- Use basic math and time management to manage orders, support busy service periods, and suggest suitable additional items.

Experience

Required: Practical customer service, food preparation, serving, cashiering, cash handling, basic math, time management, food handling, food safety, and sanitation skills support protected, efficient counter service. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, food industry, or kitchen experience, familiarity with POS or Micros POS, and confidence with thoughtful upselling are valuable strengths for serving customers and supporting the team.

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
