Windows Server Analyst - 6 Month Contract

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Windows Server Analyst for a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid position based in Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta, with a preference for Edmonton.

Windows Server Analyst - Job Description:
The Windows Server Analyst will support a primarily on-premises Windows server workplace, handling day-to-day business-as-usual operations. The environment spans multiple Windows Server versions (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2x), with OS support extending to cloud IaaS. This is a generalist role for a senior resource who can hit the ground running after orientation with the client’s tools and processes. The role also covers vacation absences for the team.

Windows Server Analyst - Responsibilities:

- Perform day-to-day BAU operations for the Windows server environment
- Build and manage Windows servers
- Administer and support Active Directory
- Manage server patching
- Manage and renew certificates
- Support Windows servers across on-premises and cloud IaaS environments
- Follow established ITIL processes, including incident, change, and problem management
- Use the client’s existing tools and processes to deliver consistent, reliable service
- Provide coverage for team members during vacation absences

Windows Server Analyst - Mandatory Skills:





- 10+ years of experience as a Windows Server Analyst or administrator
- Strong skills in Active Directory
- Strong skills in server patching
- Strong skills in certificate management
- Strong skills in server build and management
- Strong skills in day-to-day server operations
- Experience with multiple Windows Server versions (2008 through 2x)
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment
- Generalist technical background with a strong work ethic
- Coachable, humble, and willing to learn and follow established processes and tools

Windows Server Analyst - Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience in a primarily on-premises enterprise environment
- Experience supporting Windows servers in cloud IaaS
- Experience covering for team absences in a BAU operations team

Windows Server Analyst - Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract position. The start date is as soon as the successful candidate is found and onboarded.

Windows Server Analyst - Assignment Location:
Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Hybrid is acceptable with 3 days per week in the office. The core team is in the Edmonton office daily, and in-office presence is strongly encouraged for the best fit with the team.
