The Healing Cove is growing, and we are looking for a thoughtful, compassionate counsellor to join our practice as an independent contractor providing virtual counselling.

- Start date: November 2026
- Location: Virtual counselling in British Columbia
- Availability: Minimum 10 appointment hours per week initially

The Role

This is an independent contractor position providing virtual individual counselling through The Healing Cove.





We are looking for someone interested in building a meaningful caseload and developing a longer-term relationship with the practice.

What The Healing Cove Provides

As a contractor with The Healing Cove, you will have access to:

- Jane Practice Management Software, including online booking and scheduling, billing, secure clinical documentation, and a secure virtual session platform.
- Monthly peer consultation with the practice owner to reflect on clinical work, discuss cases, and exchange perspectives.
- Creative freedom to develop additional services aligned with your interests and areas of competence, such as groups, webinars, workshops, and psychoeducation.
- The flexibility and autonomy of virtual private-practice work while remaining connected to a collaborative practice.

Clinical Experience

Our practice supports adults aged 18+ across a broad range of concerns, experiences, and levels of complexity.

Completed training in a trauma-processing modality is strongly preferred, such as EMDR or another recognized evidence-informed trauma therapy.

Qualifications & Availability

Applicants must:

- Hold a master's degree in counselling psychology, clinical counselling, or a related field.
- Be an RCC in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)



and/or a CCC in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and be eligible to provide virtual counselling in British Columbia.
- Carry their own professional liability insurance.
- Have experience providing individual counselling to adults.
- Provide virtual counselling from a private, professional, and confidential setting.
- Be available for a minimum of 10 appointment hours per week initially, with the opportunity to grow their caseload over time.
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and adhere to the ethical and professional standards of their registering body.
- Be committed to ongoing clinical supervision and/or consultation and continued professional development.

Evening and/or weekend availability is an asset, but not required. Familiarity with Jane (practice management software) is also an asset.
