Title: Security Guard Industrial

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $33.26 per hour

Schedule: Rotating schedule (2 weeks morning shifts, 2 weeks off, 2 weeks night shifts)

Site Overview

Located in Elkford, BC, this industrial site operates within a high-compliance, safety-focused environment. Guards play a vital role in supporting daily facility operations by managing access, monitoring property boundaries, and maintaining a safe and secure setting for all staff, contractors, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

- Maintain strict control at all facility access points, carefully verifying credentials to ensure only authorized personnel and visitors enter.

- Conduct regular site patrols to inspect for hazards, security breaches, or unauthorized activity.

- Operate site entry gates efficiently to keep traffic moving smoothly while upholding security standards.

- Safely escort visitors, workers, and contractors through the facility in accordance with established safety protocols.

- Respond quickly and professionally to access issues, safety incidents, and site emergencies.

- Keep accurate, detailed logs of patrols, site access activity, and security incidents.

- Observe and enforce site safety procedures during daily operations and patrols.

Must Haves

- Valid BC Security License

- Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle to reach the site

- Legal authorization to work in Canada

- Basic computer skills

- Physical ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in varying conditions

- Solid communication and report-writing skills

Nice-to-Haves

- Advanced First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
