Job Overview

- We are seeking a friendly, attentive Bartender and Server to provide welcoming, efficient service in a restaurant setting.
- This role combines serving guests, preparing and serving beverages, processing orders and payments, and helping maintain a clean, safe dining workplace.
- Prior restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience is helpful. Training will be provided on applicable service procedures and POS systems.

Duties

- Welcome guests, answer questions about menu items, and provide attentive customer service and guest services throughout each visit.
- Take and enter food and beverage orders accurately using a POS system, including Micros POS when applicable.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, check in with guests, and respond professionally to requests or concerns.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to recipes and applicable food safety and food handling practices.
- Make menu recommendations and use appropriate upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Process payments, operate the register, and complete cashiering and cash handling tasks accurately.
- Assist with basic food preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed.
- Follow sanitation procedures, keep service areas clean, and support a safe, orderly dining and work environment.




- Coordinate with kitchen and service team members to ensure accurate, timely orders.
- Use time management, basic math, and math skills to prioritize tasks, verify orders, and handle transactions.

Requirements

- Strong communication skills and a courteous, guest-focused approach.
- Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast-paced food industry environment.
- Familiarity with serving, food service, hospitality, or restaurant operations is preferred.
- Experience with POS systems is helpful; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, sanitation, or kitchen procedures is beneficial.
- Comfort with basic arithmetic, order accuracy, cashiering, and cash handling.
- Dependability, attention to detail, teamwork, and a willingness to assist across service areas.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Spruce Grove, AB T7X 4P9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
