There is something special about walking into a beautifully cleaned home—and knowing you have your evening or weekend back.

At Lumo Cleaning, that is what we give our clients: a welcoming home, peace of mind, and more time for the people and experiences that matter.

We are building a premium residential cleaning company around a simple promise: Cleaning Done Right. We are looking for dependable, thoughtful people who enjoy doing excellent work and treating others with care.

What you’ll do

Working as part of a two-person cleaning team, you will help care for clients’ homes throughout Barrie and surrounding communities. Your responsibilities will include:

- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas to Lumo’s standards.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and carefully cleaning household surfaces.
- Following each home’s cleaning checklist and client instructions.
- Using products and equipment correctly, including colour-coded cloths to help prevent cross-contamination.
- Respecting clients’ belongings, privacy, pets, and home security.
- Checking your work before leaving and promptly reporting concerns, damage, or supply needs.
- Adding thoughtful finishing touches that make a home feel welcoming.

What makes you a good fit

You notice details. You keep your commitments. You understand that being trusted inside someone’s home is a responsibility.

You take feedback well, support your teammate, and would rather ask a question than risk damaging a surface. You are friendly and professional with clients, and you take satisfaction in a job done properly.

Previous residential cleaning, housekeeping, or hospitality experience is welcome.

We also welcome applicants who bring a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

What you can expect from Lumo

Our approach combines clear cleaning standards with genuine hospitality. We want our team members to understand what excellent work looks like and have the support to deliver it.

We provide training in our cleaning methods, products, safety practices, and customer service expectations, along with the supplies and equipment needed for the role. You will work within a team structure with transparent communication and a contact person when you need help.

As Lumo grows, we expect opportunities for strong team members to take on additional training and leadership responsibilities.

What the role requires

This is active, hands-on work involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, and carrying cleaning supplies. Applicants should be able to perform the essential duties with reasonable accommodation where needed.

You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to reliably meet the agreed schedule and travel arrangements.
