About Nova Era Bakery

Nova Era Bakery is a well-established bakery and pastry company with production and retail operations in Toronto. We produce breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods with high quality standards, combining traditional recipes with up-to-date technology. We are looking for a technically skilled individual to support the maintenance of industrial, electrical, baking and packaging equipment.

NIGHT SHIFT 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on bakery production equipment including dough processing, pie filling, and packaging machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in a timely and safe manner.
- Work directly with equipment such as:
- Dough Lamination lines
- Tart Lines (depositors, fillers, injectors)
- Other bakery and packaging systems (mixers, ovens, conveyors).
- Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production line operators and other maintenance staff to ensure equipment reliability.




- Suggest equipment or process improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

- Millwright and HVAC Certificates will be considered a plus
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Canada as an industrial mechanic, preferably in food production or bakery environments.
- Strong ability to read mechanical manuals, schematics, and pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical diagrams.
- Direct experience with Rondo, Comas, and automated packaging systems is a strong asset.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Flexible availability for rotating shifts.
- Technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field (preferred).

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour

Experience:

- Industrial mechanic: 1 year (required)
