The Opportunity
We're hiring a Mathematics Learning Specialist who genuinely enjoys working with students one-on-one or in small groups. If you love helping learners build confidence with math and you want flexibility in a supportive environment, this role is designed for you.
What You'll Do
- Teach the Full Math Spectrum: Cover everything from elementary number sense through advanced calculus—adapting depth and pacing to each learner
- Work with Small Groups: Lead sessions with individual students or small cohorts (1–6 learners), allowing personalized attention and responsive teaching
- Build Real Confidence: Help students who've struggled with math see themselves as capable problem-solvers
- Leverage Tech Strategically: Use our classroom platform and digital resources to enhance (not replace) your in-person instruction
- Track Progress: Regularly assess understanding, document growth, and give feedback that actually helps students improve
Who We're Looking For
- Math Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or related STEM field
- Multi-Level Teaching:
Proven experience teaching or tutoring math across grades 3–12
- Curriculum Knowledge: Solid grasp of Ontario Math Curriculum standards
- Tech Comfort: Willing to use digital tools; open to learning our platform
- Reliable Availability: Committed to consistent weekly hours (minimum 4/week)
