Overview

The Pallet Operator supports warehouse distribution by moving, organizing, and preparing palletized goods for storage and shipment. This hands-on role involves operating material-handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and helping keep warehouse operations safe and efficient.

Duties

- Operate clamp trucks, order pickers, and other authorized equipment to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, placing goods in designated storage or staging areas.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking products and documenting movement.
- Use a warehouse management system to record inventory transactions and locate products.
- Inspect pallets, equipment, and loads for damage or safety concerns; report issues promptly.
- Perform routine equipment checks and follow safe operating procedures when using cranes or other heavy equipment.
- Keep work areas organized and clear of hazards.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, using proper techniques and equipment.




- Coordinate with warehouse teammates to meet daily workflow and order requirements.

Qualifications

- Warehouse experience, preferably in a distribution, shipping, or receiving environment.
- Experience with forklift operation; familiarity with order pickers, clamp trucks, cranes, or other heavy equipment is an advantage.
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify basic equipment or pallet issues.
- Familiarity with a warehouse management system and order-picking processes is preferred.
- Ability to load and unload goods and safely handle physical work, including heavy lifting.
- Construction experience or other hands-on equipment experience is a plus.
- Robust attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
