- Modeling and drafting of projects in Solid Works
- Drafting from customer models of shop drawings and for fabrication drawings which includes files for cutting such as DXF's, files for machining and installation diagrams
- Reviewing, checking and assisting in the development of models and shop drawings in coordination with project team and fabrication plant
- assistance to the project team with field measurement and installation guidance based upon models and shop drawings
- Document control for changes related to the scope of model and drafted items
- Review for conformance and compatibility of specifications, issued drawings/documents, shop drawings
- Good knowledge of reading and Interpreting architectural drawings for the purpose of producing shop fabrication drawings.
- Review Site Instructions for scope/detail changes with the project team
- Participate with other team members in scheduling and delivery coordination
- Estimating support as it relates to the drafting/modeling process
- drawing checking, verification and modification
- Participate in training and skill develop for various drafting programs such Autocad, Solidworks and/or CATIA
- Working in a team-like manner with all staff
- Coordinate with the project managers, plant manager and shop foreman in fabrication
- Participate in job meetings

Work experience

- minimum 3 years experience in Solid Works




- Knowledge and experience in using welding symbols is preferred
- Knoweldge and experience in steel or mechanical connection design preferred
- Knoweldge experience in architectural metals, curtainwall or façade design is preferred
