Role Overview

This role exists to protect property, ensure a safe atmosphere for visitors and staff, and handle incidents calmly and professionally. Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour

Schedule Options: Full-time hours available across morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role relies on strong social perception, proactive communication, and a solid professional deportment. Over time, successful guards build strong rapport with property management, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a secure environment.

Key Day-to-Day Duties

- Provide attentive customer service while maintaining high situational awareness throughout the property.

- Conduct continuous foot patrols across the center to deter policy breaches and identify potential safety hazards.

- Monitor site access,



CCTV systems, and alarm panels.

- De-escalate tense or challenging situations using verbal resolution techniques.

- Respond promptly to security alarms, medical emergencies, and incidents, liaising with police, fire, and paramedic teams when needed.

- Perform crowd control and handle trespassers according to site guidelines.

- Write detailed, accurate incident reports and maintain daily operational logs using two-way radios and software applications.

- Provide first aid assistance when required.

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

- At least 1 year of working experience in the security industry.

- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, to produce clear incident reports and interact effectively with the public.

- Physical capability to stand and walk for the majority of a shift.

- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and stay calm under pressure with minimal supervision.

- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice-to-Haves

- Prior experience working in retail, hospitality, or customer service.

- Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) certification.

- Valid Occupational First Aid Level 2 (OFA 2) certification.
