I am currently recruiting a Senior Accountant for my client based in Montreal, looking to take the next step in their career toward a Financial Controller position. This is a newly created position within a growing company operating in the food distribution industry. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional looking to gain greater autonomy, expand their responsibilities, and play a key role in the company's continued growth.

YOUR MISSIONS

Your Responsibilities
Participate in the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements.
Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Contribute to budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
Monitor and analyze costs, inventory, and losses to improve profitability.
Participate in cash flow management and working capital monitoring.
Contribute to improving accounting processes and internal controls.




Prepare documentation for audits and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
Gradually take on additional responsibilities in overseeing financial activities.

YOUR PROFILE

Your Profile
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
CPA designation or currently pursuing CPA certification (an asset).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a Senior Accountant role.
Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle and financial statement preparation.
Experience with inventory management, cost control, or within a distribution workplace (an asset).
Good knowledge of ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and a desire for professional growth.
