Crown Glass Ltd is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Glass Service Estimator to join our growing team in Burnaby, BC.

This position focuses on residential, strata, and property management glass service work, including window and glass replacements, sealed unit replacements, hardware repairs, and general glazing maintenance.

Unlike construction estimating, this role is primarily focused on assessing existing glass installations, reviewing service requests, identifying repair or replacement requirements, and preparing accurate, competitive quotes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of glazing products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates efficiently in a rapid-paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for residential, strata, and property management glass service requests
- Assess glass repair and replacement requirements based on site measurements, photos, service reports, and customer inquiries
- Conduct on-site assessments when necessary to determine scope of work, materials, and labour requirements
- Estimate projects involving sealed unit replacements, window glass, patio doors, mirrors, shower glass, window hardware, and other glazing services
- Communicate directly with homeowners, strata managers, property managers, and building representatives
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm product specifications, availability, and pricing
- Work closely with service technicians, dispatchers, and operations staff to ensure accurate estimates and smooth job execution
- Identify appropriate repair or replacement solutions while considering cost, safety, and customer needs




- Maintain organized estimating records, follow up on outstanding quotes, and assist in securing approved work
- Ensure estimates account for material costs, labour, accessibility, equipment, and any additional service requirements

Ideal Candidate

- Previous experience in glass, glazing, window repair, or a related service industry strongly preferred
- Experience preparing estimates or quotes for residential and commercial service work
- Strong knowledge of glass types, sealed units, window systems, glazing hardware, and installation methods
- Ability to assess existing installations and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions
- Comfortable taking measurements and interpreting site photos, service reports, and product specifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly when dealing with homeowners, strata councils, and property managers
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and general computer applications
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple quotes and service requests simultaneously
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently and as part of a team

Please note: This is a service estimating position, not a construction estimating role. Experience with residential glass repairs, strata maintenance, and replacement glazing is more relevant than experience with new construction blueprints or large-scale construction bids. At this time this opportunity is only available to those that have work authorization in Canada.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
