BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - DATA MODERNIZATION

Location: Downtown business core, hybrid 3 days in office.

Looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support strategic data modernization initiatives migrating management data from legacy database platforms to Snowflake. The role will partner with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to document current-state data assets, define future-state data models, and ensure successful migration of critical front-office and investment data domains

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyze and document current-state data structures, business definitions, lineage, and transformation logic across Oracle-based platforms.
- Elicit and define business and data requirements for the Snowflake target-state architecture.
- Lead workshops with portfolio management, trading, performance, attribution, operations, and technology stakeholders.
- Develop source-to-target mappings, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
- Define and validate data quality rules, reconciliation requirements, and business controls.
- Support migration testing, data validation, and business sign-off activities.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to design scalable, governed, analytics-ready Snowflake data models.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, data owners, implementation partners,



and technology teams to drive data modernization and migration outcomes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- 7+ years of Business Analysis experience focused on data and analytics initiatives.
- Strong investment management domain knowledge, including: Performance measurement and reporting
- Performance attribution
- ETF and portfolio management workflows
- OMS and trade data
- Security master data
- Pricing and market data
- Benchmark, holdings, and transaction data
- Experience with investment data platforms such as Bloomberg PORT, Bloomberg pricing services, FactSet, and related front-office systems.
- Strong SQL skills and experience analyzing databases and data models.
- Proven experience with data migration, source-to-target mapping, and data lineage documentation.
- Knowledge of Oracle an asset
- Understanding of Snowflake, contemporary cloud data platforms, dimensional modeling, and data governance practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in asset management, wealth management, or capital markets organizations.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale cloud data modernization programs.

Pay: $95,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
