Warehouse Manager – Discounters

Discounters is a small but fast‑growing, locally owned company with seven locations across PEI, NB, and NS. Our Charlottetown warehouse is the heart of our operation, and we’re looking for a Warehouse Manager who’s ready to take the lead and help keep things running smoothly as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

Inventory Management

- Keep an eye on inventory levels and make sure everything is where it should be
- Run regular audits and maintain accurate stock records

Team Leadership

- Lead, support, and motivate our warehouse crew
- Take part in hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Build a positive, productive team environment through clear communication and strong leadership

Logistics & Workflow

- Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of goods
- Help optimize warehouse layout and daily workflow to keep things moving efficiently

Safety First

- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
- Conduct safety checks, train staff, and ensure emergency procedures are in place

Operational Improvements

- Develop and refine warehouse policies and procedures




- Look for ways to streamline processes and boost overall efficiency

What we are looking for

Someone who brings a solid mix of experience, confidence, and a hands‑on approach to warehouse operations. A few things that would make you a great fit:

- Experience leading warehouse teams and keeping day‑to‑day operations running smoothly
- A good understanding of supply chain basics—inventory, procurement, shipping/receiving, and freight coordination
- Comfortable working with POS warehouse systems
- An interest in improving processes using lean or continuous‑improvement methods
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to support, guide, and motivate a warehouse team
- Knowledge of forklifts, material‑handling equipment, and general warehouse safety practices
- Confidence working with data and using it to make smart operational decisions
- Clear communication skills for working with vendors, carriers, internal teams, and leadership
