Job Overview

The Back of House Kitchen Manager coordinates kitchen operations, guiding food preparation and cooking while supporting secure, consistent food service. This hands-on leadership role helps the team work smoothly and deliver a dependable dining experience.

For you role, you must not only be a strong and experienced chef but also be able to manage the back of the house team, teach and train new staff members and hire new staff when needed.

Duties

- Supervise and organize kitchen staff, assign tasks, and support effective team management during service.
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking, monitor workflow, and help maintain consistent quality and timely service.
- Follow food handling and food safety practices, keeping kitchen work areas orderly and supporting safe procedures.




- Work with front-of-house colleagues to coordinate service needs and resolve operational issues. Your impact: clear kitchen coordination helps colleagues serve guests efficiently.

Skills

Required: Practical leadership, communication, organization, and team management capabilities support supervising staff, coordinating kitchen tasks, and maintaining safe food handling practices. Preferred: Supervising experience and related food preparation, cooking, food service, restaurant management, restaurant, kitchen, food industry, or hospitality experience are valuable; bartending or serving experience can also support coordination across service teams.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
