Take Ownership. Solve Problems. Deliver Results.
Company Overview
Since 1992, Summit Valve & Controls has been a trusted leader in valve, automation, and instrumentation solutions across Western Canada. We partner with customers in critical industries including energy, municipal infrastructure, mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and industrial operations.
Our reputation is built on technical expertise, exceptional customer service, and a team that takes pride in finding solutions and getting the job done.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
Join Summit: Where Projects Move Fast and Your Impact Matters
Not every project management role is spent building schedules and attending meetings.
At Summit, our Project Managers are hands-on problem solvers who work closely with customers, vendors, operations teams, and sales professionals to keep projects moving from order to delivery.
You'll be at the center of project execution, helping manage complex customer orders, coordinating stakeholders, resolving challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
If you enjoy taking ownership, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced setting where every day is different, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful execution of customer projects and complex orders across Western Canada.
You'll:

- Coordinate project activities between customers, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain project schedules and delivery commitments
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays, and obstacles
- Manage technical and commercial issues to keep projects on track
- Expedite material, vendor deliverables, and project documentation
- Issue and coordinate purchase orders with vendors and suppliers
- Support inspections, testing activities, and quality requirements
- Maintain project documentation and customer communications
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Vendor Relations teams
- Take a hands-on approach to solving problems and supporting project success
- Participate in continuous improvement and lessons-learned initiatives
What Makes This Role Different
This isn't a role where projects simply get handed off and monitored from a distance.
Success in this position requires someone who:
- Takes ownership
- Follows through on commitments
- Can manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Stays organized under pressure
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Enjoys finding solutions when things don't go according to plan
- Is willing to jump in and help wherever needed to keep a project moving
If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy being the person people rely on to make things happen, you'll fit right in.
