Job Title: Security Guard Industrial
Employment Type: Part-time
Pay Rate: $23.39 - $28.60 / hour
Schedule: 14-day rotation (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends)

Site Overview

This position is based at an industrial camp facility near Fort St. James, British Columbia. Operating in a high-compliance, safety-focused environment, this site relies on diligent security oversight, strict access control, and proactive monitoring in a remote operational setting.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage access points, check credentials, and ensure only authorized staff and visitors enter the site.

- Perform regular patrols across the property to identify safety hazards, security risks, or unauthorized presence.

- Operate access gates smoothly to support continuous site operations without compromising safety.

- Escort contractors, staff, and visitors through the facility while ensuring site safety rules are followed.

- Respond immediately and calmly to access issues, site incidents, or emergency situations.

- Prepare clear, detailed incident reports and maintain regular communication with management.

Must Haves

- At least 12 months of experience working as a security guard.

- Valid BC Security License (or ability to complete within the first 3 months of employment, funded by the company).

- Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA I) certification.

- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

- Physical capacity to stand, walk, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

- Prior experience working in an industrial, mining, or remote camp security environment.
