Hotel Maintenance – Part-Time

Keeping our hotel secure, comfortable and in good condition starts with reliable maintenance. We are seeking an experienced individual who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail and pride in a job well done. The right person will take responsibility for their duties, follow tasks through to completion and understand the importance of quality repairs.

This is a hands-on position requiring previous maintenance and repair experience. Applicants should be comfortable assessing problems, finding practical solutions and completing work safely with minimal supervision.

No two shifts are exactly alike. Duties may include completing general repairs, patching drywall, painting a guest room, caring for the pool, inspecting equipment, maintaining outdoor areas or responding to a guest’s maintenance concern.

The ability to recognize what needs attention, prioritize the workload and complete tasks thoroughly is essential.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will:

- Have solid hands-on experience in maintenance and general repairs.
- Have practical knowledge of painting, drywall, basic plumbing repairs and general building upkeep.
- Be mechanically inclined and comfortable identifying problems and determining appropriate next steps.
- Work independently while keeping management informed of concerns and outstanding tasks.
- Recognize when work requires a qualified service provider.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest-related maintenance requests.
- Take preventative maintenance seriously and identify small issues before they become larger problems.
- Stay organized and maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Be dependable,



punctual and ready to work.
- Interact respectfully with guests, coworkers, management and outside contractors.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, fire and emergency procedures.
- Be comfortable performing physical duties, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders and working indoors and outdoors.
- Take care to leave completed repairs neat and work areas clean and safe.

This role requires initiative, accountability and good judgment. The ideal candidate notices what needs attention and takes appropriate action without waiting for direction on every task.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Complete general repairs in guest rooms and common areas within the scope of your training and qualifications.
- Perform painting, drywall patching and minor plumbing repairs.
- Respond to maintenance calls, giving priority to urgent concerns and issues affecting guests.
- Record maintenance requests, completed work and items requiring follow-up.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report operating issues to management.
- Check interior and exterior lighting and replace bulbs as needed.
- Complete routine pool care, water testing and chemical maintenance according to training and established procedures.
- Assist with scheduled fire and safety checks in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Provide access and assistance to outside service providers as directed by management.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling.
- Maintain the parking lot, grounds and exterior areas.
- Report hazards and repairs requiring specialized service.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour
