Job Overview

Our employer partner is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced DZ Truck Driver to join their team in Toronto. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering an hourly wage of $26.00–$28.00.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while complying with applicable traffic laws, transportation regulations, and workplace safety procedures. The role may involve operating commercial vehicles, including oil tankers, and assisting with light-duty warehouse duties as required.





The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and committed to safe driving practices, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and comply with applicable safety regulations.
- Load, unload, secure, and handle cargo safely and appropriately.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and other required documentation.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and potential delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when needed for loading and unloading.
- Assist with light-duty warehouse duties, including loading, unloading, and handling materials.
- Follow company policies, safe operating procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Maintain professional conduct and ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence.
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience.
- Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles; oil tanker experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of vehicle inspections, road safety,



and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Forklift operating experience and familiarity with material-handling safety procedures are assets.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, reliability, and professional conduct.
