The Tutor- Coding guides learners through coding concepts and hands-on practice, adapting explanations to their needs and helping them build confidence as they solve problems. The role combines clear instruction, supportive feedback, and structured learning activities to make technical ideas approachable.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging coding lessons, introducing concepts in transparent, manageable steps.
- Demonstrate coding techniques and guide learners as they write, test, and improve their work.
- Assess understanding through questions and practice, then adjust instruction to address learning needs.
- Provide constructive feedback and encourage persistence, curiosity, and independent problem-solving.
- Your impact: Learners gain practical coding skills and confidence they can apply to new challenges.

Skills





Required: Clear communication, patience, and the ability to explain coding concepts in accessible language are essential for effective teaching and learner support. You should be able to guide practice, recognize when learners need clarification, and offer useful feedback that supports steady progress. Preferred: Classroom experience and teaching skills are valuable strengths, along with an engaging approach to instruction and the ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles.

Pay: $17.93-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 per week
