Overview

Food Counter Attendants prepare and serve food, assist customers, and keep counter and kitchen areas clean and orderly. The role combines friendly service, accurate transactions, and safe food handling in a fast-paced food service setting.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve food according to established procedures, following food safety and sanitation practices.
- Welcome customers, take orders, answer questions, and use customer service skills to support a positive experience.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS where applicable; process payments and handle cash accurately.
- Maintain clean work areas, manage time across service tasks, and use basic math for transactions and order accuracy.
- Suggest relevant items when appropriate and coordinate with colleagues to keep service moving smoothly.

Skills

Required:



Practical food preparation, food handling, food safety, sanitation, customer service, cashiering, cash handling, POS operation, time management, and basic math skills support secure, accurate service. Your impact: dependable service helps customers receive correct orders promptly and enables colleagues to maintain an efficient counter.

Preferred: Food service, restaurant, food industry, serving, or kitchen experience; familiarity with Micros POS, upselling, and additional math skills can help you contribute confidently.

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
