GENERAL LABOURER (CONCRETE FORMING & SHOP WORK) – $22/HR

Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is recruiting on behalf of a local company specializing in commercial concrete forming for a General Labourer to join their team.

This is a hands-on position focused on the cleaning, repair, maintenance, and preparation of concrete formwork and construction components used in commercial projects. All work is performed at a fixed worksite, with daily shop duties and no travel required.

We're looking for reliable, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy physical work, are comfortable using hand and power tools, and can adapt to a variety of construction-related shop duties.

What You'll Do:

- Clean and scrape dried concrete from concrete forms and construction formwork
- Inspect, repair, and maintain concrete forming equipment and components
- Prepare, organize, and restack formwork and materials for reuse
- Use hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, hammers, routers, sprayers, and rivet guns
- Perform basic repairs, riveting, assembly, and maintenance on steel and aluminum construction components
- Assist with painting, surface preparation, and general upkeep of construction materials
- Sort, identify, and organize construction components using part numbers and inventory counts
- Move and organize materials throughout the shop and work area
- Support daily shop operations related to commercial concrete forming
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment




- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the workday

What We're Looking For:

- Previous experience in construction, concrete forming, formwork, or general labour is an asset
- Experience cleaning, repairing, or maintaining construction materials is an advantage
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable with hands-on, physical work in a shop environment
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting, repairing, and organizing materials
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to take on a variety of duties in a fast-paced shop environment
