WE’RE HIRING: Nutritional Care Aide (Casual)
Wildwood Care Centre in St. Marys is looking for a Nutritional Care Aide to join our team on a casual basis!
About the Role:
As a Nutritional Care Aide, you will play an essential part in supporting our residents' health and well-being through safe, nutritious meal prep, kitchen cleanliness, and warm dining service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, portioning, tray setups, and snack delivery according to therapeutic diets.
- Provide courteous, respectful dining support to residents.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in line with public health guidelines (operating commercial dishwashers, equipment cleaning, sanitizing dining areas).
- Follow proper safe food handling practices and infection control protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (Not applicable for high school students).
- Valid Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food Service Worker Certificate (or current enrollment) is an asset.
- Health & Safety Clearances:
- Proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) screening (2-step TB skin test).
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) required prior to hire.
- Strong communication skills, warm empathy for seniors, and physical capability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30–40 lbs.
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
