Job Summary

The On-call Early Learning and Child Care Educator supports children’s learning, development, and participation in a welcoming classroom. In this on-call role, you adapt to classroom needs, help maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent care and learning experiences.

Responsibilities

- Support children through age-appropriate learning activities, teaching, and daily childcare routines.
- Adapt activities and classroom support to include children with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
- Communicate with children, families, and colleagues; share relevant observations and maintain explicit written records.
- Use basic computer operation to support classroom tasks and organize information.

Required Qualifications

- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification – Level 2 or Level 3 required.
- Valid Child Care First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required.
- Practical skills in child care, teaching, and classroom management.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to support children with diverse needs in an inclusive environment.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
