Responsibilities
- Teach high school social science (Contemporary World History)
- Understand and apply the curriculum objectives, protocols and culture of Kells Academy
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
- Attend required school events beyond the school day, such as Open House, curriculum night, and parent-teacher interviews
- Take advantage of professional development opportunities
- Communicate regularly with administration, parents and students regarding student progress
- Complete other duties as assigned by the school principal
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social science or in education; Master’s preferred
- Solid teaching background, including training and experience, in social science
- Successful experience working with a diverse student population
- Quebec teaching license
Schedule and Accountability
- Starting November 2, 2026
- Teaching and supervisory responsibilities fall mainly within the regular school day (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) Monday through Friday
- Reports to the principal
