Strive Living Society is seeking a Home Share Provider in Burnaby or New Westminster, BC, who has a separate suite with a full kitchen available in their home for an individual with an acquired brain injury.

About the Individual and the Support Needed

The individual is quite independent and enjoys maintaining their own routines, participating in programming, and using transportation independently. Due to declining memory, they benefit from regular check-ins, reminders, and some assistance with everyday tasks.

Support responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assisting with grocery shopping and other practical daily needs.
- Supporting attendance at medical and healthcare appointments.
- Providing regular check-ins and reminders to help maintain health, safety, and well-being.
- Encouraging continued independence, community involvement, and participation in programming.

The goal is to provide a supportive home environment that respects the individual’s independence while ensuring assistance is available when needed.

Home and Accommodation Requirements

The Home Share Provider must have a self-contained suite with a full kitchen available within their own home. The provider may own, lease, or rent their residence.

Who We’re Looking For





We welcome applicants with experience supporting individuals with disabilities, acquired brain injuries, mental health challenges, addictions, and/or medical needs.

Applicants must:

- Be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
- Live in the Burnaby or New Westminster area.
- Have a suitable separate suite with a full kitchen.
- Be willing to provide personalized support while promoting independence and quality of life.

Additional qualifications required or to be obtained:

- Emergency First Aid certification.
- CPR Level A certification.
- A explicit criminal record check.
- A valid BC driver's license and an ICBC driver's abstract.

Compensation

Up to $2,600 per month, depending on the support arrangement.
