We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Welder/Fabricator to join our shop floor. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality, complex custom metal fabrications, reading engineered blueprints, and utilizing multiple welding processes on varied materials.

Responsibilities

- Read and precisely interpret proprietary engineering blueprints, assembly drawings, and welding symbols.
- Perform high-fidelity MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on steel and heavy-gauge aluminum.
- Perform full fit-up and layout of assemblies prior to welding, managing heat input to eliminate product warping.
- Set up, operate, and maintain shop equipment including manual flame-cutting tools, Iron Worker, HydMech bandsaw, Magdrill, grinders, Lathe and mill.




- Conduct thorough self-inspections of finished welds against internal quality control and CWB guidelines.
- Assist in designing or modifying custom shop jigs and fixtures to maximize repeatability.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to apprentice welders on the floor.

Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of hands-on Full-time welding and fitting experience in a job-shop or custom manufacturing environment.
- Certifications: Current or easily renewable CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) tickets (under W47.1 or W47.2) are highly preferred. Red Seal Welder endorsement (456A) is considered a strong asset.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of multi-process welding (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW) in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional manual dexterity, and a collaborative team attitude. Independent working with shop management.
- Forklift certification.
- Safety: Total commitment to workplace safety protocols and proper PPE usage.

Pay: From $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
