At NEXT Compression, we’re looking for a Project Director to lead a dedicated project team, deliver high-value projects, build strong customer relationships, and drive exceptional business results.

As Project Director, you will be accountable for project execution, financial performance, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction from order handover through final delivery. You will lead a dedicated project team including Project Engineering and Design, while working collaboratively with peer functional leaders across the business to coordinate resources, resolve challenges, and deliver results.

This role requires someone who is confident, commercially minded, and results driven. You combine disciplined execution with creative problem-solving, set clear expectations, communicate directly, create accountability, and build momentum without compromising standards. You are competitive, systematic, decisive, and cooperative, with the energy and initiative to turn challenges into results.

Your Role

- Project Performance: Own project delivery, financial results, schedule, quality, and risk management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop your dedicated project team, with responsibility for recruitment, performance management, employee development, and building a high-performing team with clear expectations and accountability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with peer functional leaders to coordinate resources, leverage their technical expertise, align priorities,



and resolve issues to ensure successful project delivery.
- Commercial & Customer Leadership: Manage project profitability, scope changes, customer relationships, and contractual commitments.
- Execution Excellence: Drive timely decisions, disciplined processes, continuous improvement, and a high standard of delivery.

What You Bring

- A degree or diploma in engineering, project management, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading complex projects, preferably in oil and gas, gas compression, engineered equipment, industrial manufacturing, or field construction.
- Proven people leadership experience and strong commercial, financial, and project execution capabilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to address difficult issues directly and constructively.
- A self-starting, energetic, and results-oriented approach, balancing urgency and innovation with systematic planning, precision, and accountability.
