Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated General Labourer to support our construction and renovation projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on construction, renovation, or carpentry experience who takes pride in doing quality work, follows directions well, and is eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpenters, tradespeople, and project leads with renovation and construction tasks.
- Load, unload, organize, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
- Assist with demolition, cleanup, debris removal, and site preparation.
- Support framing, drywall, painting, finishing, fixture installation, and general carpentry tasks.
- Assist with basic installation work, including doors, trim, cabinets, and fixtures, as directed.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.
- Follow project plans, instructions, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Report damaged materials, missing tools, safety concerns, or work issues to the supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with team members, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
- Perform other general labour duties as required.

Requirements

- Previous experience in construction, renovation, carpentry, or a related trade.
- Ability to use common hand tools and power tools safely.
- Basic understanding of construction materials, site safety, and renovation work.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality,



and accountability.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn new tasks quickly.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift heavy materials throughout the day.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence required.
- Clean driver’s abstract required.
- English required; ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.

Assets

- Experience assisting with framing, drywall, painting, tile, flooring, or finish carpentry.
- Familiarity with renovation projects, water-damage repairs, or residential/commercial construction.
- Ability to read basic blueprints, layouts, or technical drawings.
- WHMIS, Working at Heights, or other construction safety training.
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to drive for material pickups or between job sites, when required.
