Support Home Provider (Contract Position)

Red Deer Region (including Penhold, Sylvan Lake, Lacombe, Blackfalds, Stettler and other surrounding communities)

Are you a compassionate, patient individual who enjoys supporting others to live healthy, meaningful lives?

We are seeking a Support Home Provider to welcome an adult woman into a safe, stable, and supportive home environment.

This is a contracted position that includes monthly compensation, 4 respite days per month as well as room and board.

About the Individual

The person seeking a support home is a kind, engaging woman who values connection, meaningful relationships, and a sense of belonging. She has a wonderful sense of humour, enjoys conversation, and expresses herself well through both speaking and writing. Journaling has been an important and positive outlet for her.

Her interests include:

Walking and spending time outdoors

Swimming

Listening to music

Visiting the library

Building healthy friendships and positive social connections

She is committed to maintaining her sobriety and continues to work toward greater stability, improved mental health, and personal growth. She benefits from structured routines, supportive relationships, and opportunities to participate in meaningful community activities.

The ideal Support Home Provider will:

-Provide a protected, welcoming, and stable home environment

-Offer encouragement, mentorship, and consistent support

-Respect personal choice and independence while helping ensure safety and well-being

-Support healthy routines, community involvement, and positive social connections

-Work collaboratively with a professional support team

-Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

Home Requirements

Applicants must:

Reside in the Red Deer area or surrounding communities,



including Penhold, Sylvan Lake, Lacombe, Blackfalds, Stettler, or nearby locations

Have a home with a suitable private bedroom available

Have no children living in the home

Be willing to complete screening requirements, including background and reference checks

Be willing to complete training (compensation provided)

Be committed to providing a supportive, substance-free environment
