Description

As a member of our Engineering team, you will own verification across a wide portfolio of firearm products, including actions, chassis and bipods. You will write the test plans and procedures, design and build the fixtures and rigs, specify and maintain the test equipment, and run the testing yourself, in the lab and in the field. Working across multiple concurrent projects, you will collaborate with design and manufacturing to establish whether a product performs to specification before it ships. Success will ultimately mean knowing, with evidence, that our products do what we say they do.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field
- 3+ years in product testing and verification of mechanical products

Core Qualifications

- Developing test plans, procedures and acceptance criteria, and reporting results that drive design decisions.
- Designing and running accelerated life, durability and fatigue tests
- Hands-on building of test fixtures and rigs, and comfortable with shop tools




- Instrumentation and data acquisition, including force and displacement measurement
- Specifying, procuring, maintaining and calibrating test equipment
- Field testing: taking product out of the lab and running it in real conditions
- Firm grasp of mechanics of materials and dynamics of mechanical systems
- 3D CAD for fixture and rig design using SolidWorks

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with outdoor goods, sporting goods, firearms, or other precision and rugged consumer products that involve moving mechanisms
- Environmental testing, including vibration, shock, thermal, dust and ingress protection, and familiarity with relevant standards
- Statistical analysis of test data using Python, MATLAB or similar

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
