About Us

Peaskie Minerals Inc., is a premier supplier of domestically sourced proppants and silica flour to the West Central Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). Our facility is located approximately 40 minutes west of Grande Prairie.

We are seeking an experienced Independent Contractor - HSE Advisor to support a temporary project at one of our operating sites. This contract position will remain in place for the duration of the project and is ideal for a safety professional who thrives in a fast paced industrial workplace.

Responsibilities

- Provide on-site health, safety, and environmental support throughout the project.
- Conduct field inspections, hazard assessments, and safety observations.
- Promote compliance with company policies, legislation, and industry best practices.
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Support supervisors and project teams in maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reports.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.




- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in mining, aggregates, construction, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta OH&S; legislation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to travel to the project site.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., CSTS, First Aid, COR Auditor, NCSO, or CRSP) are considered an asset.
