Support resident safety and quality care as a Registered Nurse at AgeCare Shawnee, located at 50 Shawnee St SW in Calgary.
Reporting to the Director of Care, this Registered Nurse helps deliver individualized resident care within qualified competency. The position requires safe, ethical nursing services and collaboration with healthcare teams. A background in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate resident nursing services across the neighbourhood
- Lead healthcare team shift reports and share status changes
- Document resident condition changes in their charts
- Process physician orders according to established procedures
- Notify care leadership about order processing difficulties
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Good standing with the provincial registration and membership registry
- Knowledge of long-term care nursing practices
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal statutes
- Understanding of Provincial College nursing standards of practice
