Support residents at Astum Api Niikinaahk through emotional support, advocacy, and trauma-informed harm reduction assistance. This casual position is based at the communal living site.

As a Support Helper, you will foster home and community while supporting individualized care plans. The work includes referrals, documentation, appointments, resources, and move-in or move-out assistance. You will act according to the Ma Mawi Code of Honour and Astum Api Niikinaahk’s service philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Foster a sense of home and community for residents
- Help residents obtain identification and health cards
- Attend appointments and resource centres with residents
- Access resources and advocate for individualized care plans
- Support move-in, move-out, and housing searches

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in human services
- Training in trauma-informed care and harm reduction
- Non-violence crisis intervention training
- Current First Aid, CPR, and NVCI certificates
- Class 5 licence and current driver’s abstract
